"Mid-Year" Corvette Clocks. . . . .
The 1963 to 1967 Sting Ray clocks, like the other Mid-Year instruments, are the most functional and beautiful clocks in any Corvette. They are big so you can easily read them. They have a classic beauty all their own. The 1966 thru 1967 dial face included numbers to read the clock in 24 hour time. They are one of the easiest clock to remove. Below are photos and notes on the three groups of these clocks:
The 1963 Corvette clock is a stand alone one year use only. It is distinguishable by the sliver center cone. The outer bezel is a dull aluminum color and the inner bezel is a gloss black. Numbers & markings are a pale green color. Over the years they may fade to almost a white color.
The 1964 Corvette clock is a stand alone one year use only. It is distinguishable by the black ribbed center cone. Numbers & markings are a pale green color. The color of the bezels is the same as the '63
The 1965 thru 1967 Corvette clocks are all the same. There are date codes ink stamped on the back which make them unique. This clock has a flat dish face with the 24 hour markings. Numbers & markings are a pale green color. The inner and outer bezels are a semi-flat black color.
